Emmanuel Beach Mission was pioneered by the Reverend Norman Ellison who worked as an evangelist in Pembrokeshire from 1954.

In 1955 he, along with two other Christians, heard God calling them to begin an outreach to the many holiday – makers who visit Saundersfoot each summer.

So, in the summer of 1956, the Emmanuel ‘Sunshine Centre’ Beach Mission was launched. Initially the teams were made up entirely of students from Emmanuel Bible College in Merseyside.

Today the teams are made up of Christians from various church backgrounds, all ages, and a variety of walks of life.

The uniform might have changed through the years, but the message remains the same.

Jesus loves you. He created you. He died for you. He rose again for you. He’s preparing a place for you. You can know Him today!
